B&J Electric was founded on September 1,
1978 by Jerry and Billie Lyda and has grown into one of the larges t
and most-respected electrical contracting companies in the Mahoning County and
surrounding areas.
Throughout B&J Electric's history they have
developed a list of satisfied customers who
appreciate the quality of work provided and the unparalleled personal service
and attention to their projects.

Meet B&J Electric's
Management Team:
Jerry Lyda, CEO -
Jerry and his wife, Billie, are the founders of B&J Electric of Poland, Inc.
With more than 30 years of experience in the electrical industry, Jerry is
well-known throughout the Mahoning County and surrounding areas for his
contracting expertise.
As current president of the
IEC Western Reserve Chapter,
Jerry continues to use his extensive experience in many arenas, including as a
licensed electrical contractor, a licensed state electrical inspector, an active
member of the Independent Electrical Contractors, IEC Forum Group #11, past
member of the IEC Western Reserve Chapter Apprenticeship Committee, along with a
vast list of certifications in his field.
Jerry is also actively involved in his community,
serving as a coordinator for the Mahoning County Public Special Olympics.
Billie Lyda, President -
Billie and her husband, Jerry, are the founders of B&J Electric of Poland,
Inc. Billie's input and management skills are paramount to the success
of B&J Electric. Overseeing the daily operations of the office, as well as
serving as President, Safety Coordinator, and Drug-Free Workplace Coordinator,
Billie's contributions are endless. Billie is also actively involved in
the IEC Western Reserve Chapter, as by-laws committee chairperson, as
well as being actively involved in IEC Forum Group #11. Billie loves the
electrical contracting industry, and is the "heartbeat" of B&J Electric's
operations.
Billie is also actively involved in the community,
including Mahoning County Public Special Olympics, and a committee member of the
American Cancer Society.
Shane Wonner, Project Manager/Estimator -
Shane joined B&J Electric in 1997 and has more than 10 years of
experience in the electrical industry. As a state-certified journeyman
electrician, Shane's areas of expertise include permitting, National Electric
Code, building code,
critical path management, estimating, budget analysis, and job costing.
Shane is also Fire Alarm certified, and stays abreast of the industry through
continuing education, including code compliance and OSHA-10. Shane is
versed in a variety of industry-oriented software applications.
Ron Arter, Project Manager/Estimator -
Ron joined B&J Electric in 1995 and has more than 35 years of experience
in the electrical industry. Ron is a journeyman electrician and is Fire
Alarm certified. He is B&J Electric's
thermograph supervisor, motor
control specialist, and high-voltage substation consultant. Ron stays
abreast of industry changes through continuing education, as well as using a
variety of software applications in his project management and estimating
functions.
Jenn Parfel, Executive Project Coordinator -
Jenn joined B&J Electric in 2000. As a graduate of Youngstown State
University with a degree in Business Administration/Human Resources, Jenn is a
valuable asset to B&J Electric's management team. Recently promoted
to Executive Project Coordinator, Jenn is responsible for processing pay
applications, bids and estimates, thermo-imaging reports, as well as materials
purchasing, job cost analysis, and budget reporting. She is fluent in a
wide array of software applications, as well as pursuing continuing education in
industry and workplace safety, and EDGE certifications.
Jenn served as team captain for B&J Electric's
Relay for Life Team in 2006 and 2007.
