Meet our Staff
Jerry Lyda, CEO
Jerry and his wife Billie, are the founders of B&J Electric. With more than 37 years of experience in the electrical industry, Jerry is well-known throughout the Mahoning County and surrounding areas for his contracting expertise. As past president of the IEC Western Reserve Chapter, Jerry continues to use his extensive experience in many areas, including as a licensed electrical contractor, a state licensed state electrical inspector, an active member of the Independent Electrical Contractors, IEC Forum Group #11, past member of the IEC Western Reserve Chapter Apprenticeship Committee, along with a vast list of certifications in his field.
Billie Lyda, President
Billie and her husband, Jerry, are the founders of B&J Electric. Billie's input and management skills are paramount to the success of B&J Electric. Overseeing the daily operations of the office, as well as serving as President, Safety Coordinator, and Drug-Free Workplace Coordinator. Billie is also actively involved in the IEC Western Reserve Chapter, as well as being actively involved in IEC Forum Group #11.
Shane Wonner, Project Manager/Estimator
Shane joined B&J Electric in 1997. Shane is a state-certified journeyman electrician and holds both a State of Ohio and State of West Virginia license. Shane's areas of expertise include permitting, National Electric Code, building code, critical path management, estimating, budget analysis and job costing. Shane is also Fire Alarm Certified, and stays abreast of the industry through continuing education, including code compliance OSHA-10 and OSHA-30. Shane is versed in a variety of industry-oriented software applications.
Brian Householder, Project Manager/Estimator
Brian Joined the B&J team in 2012 with over 30 years experience in the industry. Brian is proficient in estimating, critical path management, budget analysis and job costing. He keeps updated on industry changes through continuing education throughout the year.
Chris Philips
Estimator
Chris Philips entered the IEC apprenticeship program through B&J Electric of Poland Inc. in 2003 After graduation and considerable time in the field, he joined the estimating department in 2014. Chris is a state certified journeyman electrician, is Fire Alarm Certified and currently estimates both commercial and residential projects.
Julie Zorich, Office Manager
Julie joined B&J Electric in 2014. Julie has over 20 years in the construction industry. Including sales/marketing, contract administration and accounting.
Sarah Sauerwein, Accounts Payable/Receivable
Sarah is the newest addition to the B&J Electric team, joining in 2014. Sarah came from the banking industry and is a valued member of B&J Electric's accounting department.
